5. WHEN someone is talking in front or giving speech, at the back of the room, there is bound to be another round of speech taking place. Too often, when someone is speaking in front, the audience is occupied with their talks. During classes and lectures, students have been taught to listen when the teacher or lecturer talks. Shouldn`t that apply during functions?
6. THE counter service especially at government departments also leaves much to be desired. While some departments should be given thumbs-up for their services, in some the staff can be plain rude, grumpy and sometimes snapping at customers. What is the purpose of the sign "How can we help you?" if what you get is just a cold stare and sullen scowl?
7. MALAYSIANS are litter louts too. Wind down the car`s window and out went the skins of langsats and rambutans. They are reluctant to walk a few more steps to the dustbin. The council workers would come along and pick up the rubbish, so why bother? Malaysians litter everywhere but not in their own backyards, surprisingly.
DESPITE all that, we can still feel proud with our Malaysian identity. Oh yes, for where else can you find a diverse community with different culture and religion living in harmony?
WHERE else can you find an extensive range of palatable cuisine ranging from Kampung style to Japanese and western? Only in Malaysia lah...
